About Scott

scottaultI am a graduate from California State University, East Bay, where I studied Communication with an emphasis in Personal and Professional Organization (Strategic Communication) and minored in Political Science.

I have always been interested in politics, but took a while to figure out that I love political rhetoric and looking at the communication of politicians. I hope to one day work on campaigns or be a speech writer for politicians. I am writing this blog to share my views and opinions on what is happening in the world, specifically the United States.

I am absolutely obsessed with the musical Hamilton by Lin Manuel Miranda, and so you will see me address Hamilton from time to time. Furthermore, you can read a critical analysis paper I wrote on Hamilton here.

I have participated in various protests, including the Student Senate for California Community Colleges March in March in 2010 and 2011. I have been involved in the Student Senate for California Community Colleges, serving as the Chair of Region IV, which includes Cabrillo, Chabot, De Anza, Evergreen, Foothill, Gavilan, Hartnell, Las Positas, Mission, Monterey Peninsula, Ohlone, San Jose City, and West Valley Colleges. I was involved in the Student Senate at Las Positas College, first serving as a Senator, and then as the Director of Legislation. After I served two years in the Associated Students of Las Positas College, I joined the Las Positas College Talk Hawks, the Forensics team. I dropped out of school in the spring of 2013 for mental health reasons, and returned in the fall of 2014. After one more year of taking classes at Las Positas, Chabot, and Diablo Valley College, I transferred to CSU, East Bay in Hayward, where I finished my degree in 2 years.

Basically, that’s me in a nutshell. So, as we say in Nerdfighteria, Don’t Forget to be Awesome.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me to ask any questions or for quotes for any work I can help you with.
