Not Like That

On Sunday, May 21, 2017, some graduates from Notre Dame University walked out on Vice President Mike Pence’s commencement speech.

I can hear the Fox News anchors now…Not like that.

They tell us it’s okay to protest, but not in a way that will disrupt anyone.

They tell us it’s okay to protest, but to do it quietly.

That’s exactly what happened at Notre Dame, but I know the conservative media is going to come up with another asinine way that this is going to be about how the Trump administration doesn’t get any respect. And I agree. He doesn’t get any respect from us. And you know why? Because he doesn’t deserve it. I don’t care that he is the president. I don’t care that Mike Pence is the Vice President. We show them the respect they deserve, which is none. Neither of them are good people. Neither of them deserve the positions that they have, and neither of them should be speaking at graduation ceremonies. Their presence in the White House is a threat to students everywhere. Their administration wants to make it harder for students to go to school. They are more than willing to put additional hardships on the shoulders of students who already go hungry, who already go without some basic needs. So when Fox News and Breitbart start to complain about how this isn’t the right way to protest, we respond that this isn’t a protest anymore. This is a resistance, and we resist. We fight. We won’t let your rhetoric win. We will win, and you will go down in history, hopefully soon.
