Yesterday, May 9, 2017, Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey. I absolutely did not see this one coming. But, then again, I don’t see a lot of stuff with Trump coming, especially his presidency. However, we can’t exactly go back in time to stop Trump, nor can we go back in time to keep Comey with his job, but there are some legitimate fears that come along with this.
Probably most importantly, we know that the FBI was investigating Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. Trump then proceeds to fire him. Maybe the thinking is that without Comey, there will be no investigation. That without Comey, no one will remember that Russia interfered with our election. Well, remember one thing, Donald. We will remember. We will fight against you the whole way, and when your illegal deeds are proven, we will be there to support your impeachment and your resignation. There is nothing that would make the future of America happier than seeing your abrupt demise, your fall from grace. We will fight you every step of the way. Your rhetoric of hatred, misogyny, xenophobia, racism, and stupidity will not stand. You will be a one term president, and you’re lucky at that. If the vote went the way that America voted, your ass would be out on the curb. But, alas, you won due to the antiquated system of the electoral college. You got lucky once, but your support is wearing thin. The Republicans will fail to keep their majority. Any of them that fall at your feet will lose their seat, as they are cowards who don’t understand what leadership is. Neither do you, and you are also a coward.
To quote Lin Manuel Miranda, I hope that you buuuuuuuuuuuurn.
