Still No Tax Returns

On, August 12, 2016, Hillary Clinton released her tax return from 2015, and pressure mounted on Donald Trump to follow suit (Timauros, 2016). He refused. His argument was that he was being audited and couldn’t release his tax returns until after the audit was complete. The IRS said that was false.

He stated that he would release his tax information if he was elected. On November 8, 2016, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States (I know, it’s still hard for me to believe it too). After he was elected, he refused to release his tax documents. He said he would after taking office.

On January 20, 2017, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. Did he release his taxes? You guessed it. The answer….nope.

On March 14, 2017, MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow announced that she had Donald Trump’s tax returns. She did….from 2006.

Now, another tax day has come and gone, and have we seen Donald Trumps tax returns from 2015? I’ll give you one guess.

What are you hiding, Trump? What are you so scared to release? You said in a debate that you didn’t pay any taxes, so that won’t be a surprise to us, but why are you so afraid to release the tax returns. The American people have a right to know about your business dealings. The American people have a right to know where your allegiances lie. Not only do the American people have a right to know, but we demand to know. We demand your taxes, and will continue to do so.

And no, Trump, I wasn’t paid to write this post. Protestors against you aren’t paid. We’ve simply had enough.
